It was windy enough that they should have cancelled or offered to reschedule us. We bought the sunset whale watching trip since many years ago we loved seeing whales in the area, but there was zero effort given to finding any whales. No mention of whales, no "naturalist" on board. We sailed over to the cliffs by the highway and tucked into a cove for snacks, then turned around and headed back for the harbor. The sun set a little after 6:30 when we were already back at the dock.

I was here the week of and just after Kona 2 storm. I booked the the tour to Lanai trip. Weather necessitated a late departure and slightly earlier return and skipping the snorkeling portion. The company was up front about this and offered us an option for a refund or to reschedule the day before departure. I am glad I went. I got to see La’nai. The Chanel crossing between the islands was extremely choppy. On the return it was a good 40 minutes of 10’ to 16’ rollers. It was intense. Call it

We were on the Lana’i trip yesterday Tues. after the weekend storm. Captain Mark did an amazing job of driving the boat to keep us dry & while the weather wasn’t ideal we still saw a wonderful whale breach, dolphins, & a large manta ray ! Thank you to the polite & kind crew that served us delightfully😊

Wow! This company has it down. I have been on so many boat tours throughout Hawaii and the Caribbean and have never had such an organized and care-free experience. From getting onto the boat, to the service, to serving lunch, they had it all under control. We had a fantastic day and would go again in a heartbeat.

We had the best day with this fabulously fun crew! They were knowledgeable, helpful and always kept it fun! The snorkeling stop was amazing at the island - the sea turtle stop was fun!! The whale watching was magical. The food was outstanding - great breakfast - homemade salsa and the lunch was perfection. I didn't have the ice cream but heard it was great. Amazing facilities. Plenty of room for all. A memory I will cherish very very memorable unique experience!! Thank you to the trilogy tea

This sunset dinner and whale watching trip was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Maui. We sailed out of Maalaea Harbour on a lovely evening in a beautiful catamaran piloted by Captain Sierra and accompanied by a lovely crew of young ladies, who acted as deckhands, barmaids, waitresses and amateur whaie experts. Lots of space to sit with a much smaller group than I had expected. No overcrowding as in many other boats that we had seen. There were plenty of whale encounters and a very generous 5 co

Hands down the best day ever!! Captain Brian and crew were fantastic and they took such great care of us! The 2 snorkeling sites were fantastic and my son's Snuba experience beyond compare! So fun having an underwater photographer capture the fun! Food out of this world delicious too! Highly recommend!

Best whale watching trip on Maui! Great captain and crew, Raquel and Chris driving and keeping us and the whales safe, and Justin serving the super food and drinks, which were complimentary on this trip. They were all professional, funny, kind, and all full of aloha, which is always appreciated. We found some active jumping and slapping whales and enjoyed a lovely couple of hours on the water. We had an easy launch and landing on the beach and even saw a sea turtle as we left. The only downer wa

Trilogy 1 was captained by a very experienced blue-water sailor, the personable Katie. Crew were Tiger, Clay, Zach with young newcomer, Becca. I chatted with all of them and found them friendly and welcoming. This must be a well run business since all have been with Trilogy for around 10+ years and seemed happy. Crew are not floating waiters. They are experienced in and around the boat and water, familiar with equipment, with Maui and all of the sea life you will encounter. The Catamaran h

We had two trips with trilogy during our week in Maui. The first was Discover Lana’i, the second was a sunset whale watch. Both were INCREDIBLE. Our trip to Lana’i was on one of the windiest days, and the ocean was pretty crazy. We were still able to see a bunch of whales, and saw a pod of dolphins in the bay. Captain Katie was so good and so knowledgeable. The lunch on Lana’i was so good. The rest of the crew was fantastic (Zach, Harrison, photographer Sam). Captain Mark on the sunset whale wat

This review is 12 months in the making to get my words and thoughts across ( plus busy work schedule) Captain Riley of Trilogy Boat Company, Captain, Seaman, Host, Honouree of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society for Bravery exhibited by him and his crew during a rescue of survivors during to Lahaina conflagration, humble man and just all round good bloke! - Will be you leader if you’re lucky enough to be on one of his boats trips on Trilogy. I suspect as he’s third generation Trilogy owner

We loved all our Trilogy whale watching trips! We went on 3 during our vacation. It was really nice that a lot of seats had little tables with cup holders. I wish the bench in front of the netting did too, but that's because I was trying to balance my kids' food and drinks in one hand while holding a camera in the other. The staff was really on top of everything. They make sure you're fed, have drinks and are comfortable. They're knowledgeable, friendly and somehow everyone is funny and kept us
