When you first arrive you take a tram around the property and they show you the layout. When you first enter I guess they sell bird food in baggies for kids to feed the birds I obviously missed it! They then drop you off by the imu where they dig up the pig from the ground. You then can wander the beautiful grounds for a bit then go watch the imu ceremony which was nicely done!!! Then you head across a small bridge to where you eat! It is buffet style and release by tables. They have an open bar

I would rate this higher, but on entering the dining space the host of the luau was disrespectful to my family. He made no effort to make amends for his mistake, so instead of a 3 for this luau I would rate it a 2. Objectively, this luau was not as high quality as some of the others we have been to. Luau kalamaku in lihue, is in my opinion, much better overall. Go to that one if you are in Kauai and looking for a luau. The food here was ok although the kalua pig was over salted and the dessert

We enjoyed our luau here. The food was good, but we didn’t feel like the drinks had much liquor. It is quite expensive too, with over $100/person. The gardens are nicely maintained and the staff are friendly.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! From the beauty of the gardens to the exceptional food and an amazing show, we loved every bit of it. And a special thanks to the Smith family for their warm hospitality.

We were told this is the best luau and it really was amazing! The botanical garden is gorgeous. Ponds with fish, flowering trees, peacocks, ducks, doves and of course chickens. It starts with a tram ride around the garden. The driver explains what all the trees are and gives a great history of the land. Then you explore the gardens on foot. There is a ceremony to unearth the pig from the ground oven then cocktails and entertainment. Then the feast. Wow! The food was amazing. Fish, pork, steak, h

The Smith’s know how to throw a party!! From the digging out of the pig, to the drinks and the show and his experience really showcases the meaning of Ohana. Worth every penny.

We had a great time except for the parking lot attendant! Our family had a great time at the Smith Family Garden Luau. The food and entertainment was great. The setting is beautiful. One thing that shocked us was the attitude of the parking attendant. She was rude. She approached our car as we were parking. told us to stop and then reached in and grabbed the steering wheel because she did not like the position of the front wheels. Not a great first impression! Overall we had a great time

We went to the Smith Family Luau on our Honeymoon, but specifically our 5 year anniversary date as well! Every step of the way, staff was helpful, considerate and overall amazing!! The entire experience was curated so well and knowing it's family run and operated was so cool! We loved being immersed in your culture and your family values from start to finish. All the food, drinks, the performances and live music were top notch. Everything was clean, well groomed and so beautiful inside the prope

Does not disappoint! Tour and history of the lush gardens, revealing the pig, drinks (try them all!,) dinner and the show. Second time we have been here 16 years apart and both times there wasn't a thing I would change. Everything is efficient and done well. Thank you Smith family!
