Chief's Luau Reviews

The Chiefs Luau was a great evening. The food was good and the show was great fun. A talented group of women & men preserving a bit of island history and passing it on to the audience. You are well feed and well treated. About a 30 minute ride from Waikiki. It was well worth it.

Worst costumer service experience ever. If you are looking to waste an afternoon of your trip at a remote place far from Waikiki where their offices wait til the very last minute to help you out— this is your place. The incompetency alone of the people on the contact points is discouraging. My husband and I (on our honeymoon) booked this Luau and checked three times with customer services to make sure they would not cancel the luau. We wanted to go to a good luau. We did our research and decided upon cheap luau so glad we did had the best time and the best food I didn’t want the night to end. If we ever are fortunate enough to get back to Hawaii, we will definitely go to another Chiefs luau.

I just read the woman last review and I disagree. This was a great experience. Our transportation got us there a little late because of traffic, but nothing we could do. The food was ok nothing great but some good, there was plenty and you could go back and get as much as you want. The drinks were limited some beer and Mai Tai. And water Y They sell shirts and your pictures 1 for 35 and 2 for 50. All that was average but the show was fantastic real knives swords and fire dancers. The chief did

WORST Luau in Hawaii!!!!! Food is HORRIBLE Gregg the guy who checked us in was extremely rude. We were celebrating our daughters 50th birthday with 16 guests. They did not have us sitting together. The bathroom on the bus wA broken. And worse yet the location was a joke. And did I mention the FOOD SUCKED. They ran out of the $30 pineapple drinks. I wish I could select zero stars! Folks save your money!!! And thank me later!!!

The show was top notch and please go for the show and not for the food. Chief is so funny and the quality of the show covers mediocre food. Though, the price is high, my group enjoyed every second of it.

The show was amazing! From the minute you walk in, you are greeted by the dancers. They give a little background on the show. You the. Take a picture that you can purchase. After the picture, you are escorted to your table. They have tables labeled with your gifts. The food is not bad at all. I recommend going through the everything line so you can try it all. The show was by far the best part. The only bad thing about this luau is the drinks. They have a small and watery mai tai (1 ticket) and

So the positives. The chief is hilarious. The dancing is intricate and explains all the different nuances between the cultures from a male and female perspective. The best part is the fire dance at the end! The cons. The drink service is slow. If you order the royal package you wont get to use all your tickets. The food is cold when it is served to you. They show you a precooked roasted pig so you dont get that experience. And its far away from Waikiki so you will sit in traffic to get there.

We didn't know what to expect at a luau. The Chief's Luau has great reviews on Trip Advisor so we decided to attend. We made reservations in advance and miraculously arrived on time. I can't insist on how important it is to give yourself plenty of time due to traffic. There was plenty of parking and we were greeted with either a lei of shells or beads. El lugar está bastante lejos del hotel, como a 1 hora y la verdad donde hacen el show no me parece el mejor ambiente para un Luau hawaiano, aún así la experiencia es linda, la comida buena, el show del fuego es increíble. Ojo cuando les ofrezcan elegir los asientos, no vale la pena elegir ROYAL que es lo máximo, en nuestro caso elegimos ALOHA y la vista es buena y gozas de los mismos beneficios practicamente.
