What should you not miss on Oahu?

Five experiences define an Oahu visit. Pearl Harbor — the USS Arizona Memorial and Battleship Missouri — is the island's most historically significant site; book tickets at least two weeks ahead. A traditional luau, especially Chief's Luau ($130–220), delivers the cultural pageantry Hawaii is famous for. The North Shore on any day outside peak surf season offers Haleiwa town, Waimei Bay cliff jumping, and roadside shrimp trucks. Hanauma Bay's snorkeling in a protected marine crater is free aside from the $25 entry. Finally, a helicopter tour from Magnum or Rainbow Helicopters ($305–434) reveals the Ko'olau Mountains and Oahu's rugged interior in a way no road can match. Two days minimum — preferably four.
